Writing Effective Sales Letters

One of the things that we all have in common if we want to succeed in marketing is to be able to write effective sales letters. When I’m talking about sales letters it could be on line or off line, but it’s presenting something to someone and encouraging them to take some form of action.

I’ve been asked by many small business owners that I’ve worked with over the years to review their copy, or to help them write a sales letter. In fact, I still do this on a regular basis as part of my coaching service. I don’t consider myself a professional copywriter, but I have discovered some techniques from the many seminars I’ve attended, books I’ve read, etc., that allow me to write effective sales letters within the areas that I work. I believe that anyone can do it if they follow some basic rules.

So, what are these basics. First you need to spend some time preparing to write. I’ve already offered many suggestions to help you get started in a recent article I wrote that you can access at http://hubpages.com/hub/writingsalesletters.

I’ll continue to offer suggestions on this topic from time to time because I believe it’s an important area for all of us whether we market from home or outside the home. If you have suggestions for folks to help them in this area, please feel free to leave your comments.
