Using Twitter To Increase Traffic
If you are like me you may still be trying to figure out how to use social networking effectively. How can a site like Twitter that seems to be just a way to keep in touch with friends help to increase traffic to your site? Well, it probably wont generate tons of traffic, but every little bit helps, especially if it’s targeted traffic.
Here are a couple of suggestions in case you would like to give it a try. First, don’t post (tweet) numerous times throughout the day, especially if you don’t have anything interesting to say. It becomes annoying and people wont follow you.
Do make occasional posts to let people know what you are up to. Also post about any ongoing developments related to you and your business, or something that you may be considering.
Interact with other users occasionally by replying to their posts. Interactions and communications with other users is what makes Twitter fun and unique. People enjoy reading other people’s conversations.
Finally, be sure to include a link to your web site in your profile and if you can work in a link in your bio section that is helpful also.

I enjoy Twitter and following others…I don’t usually post much….mine seems rather boring sometimes. Enjoyed your post. Joyce Jacobsen

This is great advice! I agree with you. Posting to much at one time is annoying. I usually unfollow someone if they are too annoying.
I think another thing that is good is participating in the conversation with the people you are following by using the “reply” button.
