FREE Screen Shot Tool

Recently I was reviewing an email from Stompernet which had a link in it to the jingproject. I had never heard of this service before, but I was very impressed with the screen shot (capture page) tool that they provide for free. And, for only $14.95 a year you can add some additional benefits.

For instance, even with their free service you can snap a picture of your computer screen. Then you can add captions, highlights, arrows, etc. and post it to Flickr, Twitter, or email it to a friend.

If you prefer to record the action as a video you can do that as well while pointing to your screen with your mouse and verbally explaining what you are doing. However, for the free service the videos must be kept to 5 minutes or less.

Rather than me jabbering on click HERE to watch my brief example. When the video is complete it provides a link that says “Get Jing” so you can go directly to the site and check it out for yourself. Personally I see a lot of potential for a service such as this.

As a recent “tester” of this myself, this is very cool! Technology is just becoming more amazing….I love learning all the computer tricks…as much as I understand….thanks Rick for this great article!

I know about a tool like that, it’s another one out there that’s free to use too. You write great blogs Rick, people need tools for their business and sometimes you can get it for free.

Hi Rick:

Thanks for visiting my blog today and as I was perusing your blog I came across you post on Jing – I use it all the time in webinars, etc. to capture info. Love it.

Thanks for your comments on my blot.

That’s cool! I went to the website and found the great screen shot tool you have mentioned in this article. Thanks for the information.
