Off Line Advertising For Internet Marketers

Internet marketers tend to be so focused on driving traffic to their websites using on line techniques that they often over look off line advertising as an effective tool to drive traffic to their sites. In fact, it’s partly because it is such an under utilized tool that it can have far reaching positive impacts on your success.

Yesterday I mentioned the benefits of using direct mail in your Internet business and in particular postcards. Today I will share the first step in the process of creating loads of profits from advertising your website in newspapers.

Although large ads with lots of quality copy are very effective, even a small ad can be effective if it creates curiosity and gets the people reading the paper to take action and visit your website. In other words, all you need is a short, concise advertisements to generate leads.

This type of ad does not require that you learn a bunch of copywriting tactics or complicated writing tricks. You just need to put yourself in the place of your “target” prospect. For example, let’s say that you are selling a business opportunity for network marketers and you want to use the newspaper to get more people to your website. You need to create a short and enticing headline that peaks enough interest to get people to your website, nothing more. Here are a couple of examples:

As you can see from the examples above, it does not need to be some long winded advertisement.  Just something short, simple and crafted to generate some curiosity is all you need. Try it for yourself.

You made some excellent points. There is very little competition in the mailbox compared to email. Offline advertising is an extremely effective tool when done right. Too many people use email because the cost appears little. But what ends up happeneing is too many people put out poorly crafted email that is pure junk. They would be better investing in print ads because there is a dollar investment with it and when there is money to be lost, well let’s just say that thought goes into the work.
