OK. You’ve searched the net, checked out heaps of different opportunities and were very impressed with what you seen. In fact you were so impressed you decided to start an online business so you can join in and make some money online. Excellent choice! But be warned. Starting an online business doesn’t come without pitfalls or hard work.

Regardless of what you’ve read on the net, creating an online business is not a short cut to wealth. Making money online is not a simple matter of putting up a turnkey site and then waiting for the cash to start rolling in. If you believe that you can make your fortune instantly with no money, no time and no effort, then you need to stop dreaming. WAKE UP and smell the coffee. You’re going to be very disappointed (and a little poorer) when you find out the truth.

The truth is, creating a profitable online business can be a very time consuming and frustrating task. But if you’re prepared to work hard, put in the effort and have the right frame of mind BEFORE you start your business, knowing that it will take time and patience to be successful, you CAN make a substantial online income. That does not mean you must join an MLM business either. There are many other types of opportunities. For instance, if you like to help people succeed with sales check out http://SalesRep.EZ-SalesSystem.com.

The internet can provide tremendous wealth opportunities and can give you the chance to earn a very generous income that will give you the chance to spend more time with your family and allow you to literally live your dreams. But before you decide to start an online business, you need to be aware that, apart from your customers, time is your most important asset. So to ensure your success, it is imperative you engage the services of professional and ethical service providers to free up as much of your time as possible. Once you have done this, you will be safe in the knowledge that if you do run into any problems, you have the support base to help you get back up and running with a minimum of fuss and downtime. The last thing you need is to be wasting your time on non-incoming producing issues. If you do this, you just won’t have the time or energy to focus on what should be your #1 priority… creating a successful business.

This translates to happier customers and greater profits!

Before you do something in your business, there is nothing as sensible as setting goals and planning on the actions necessary to obtain those goals. A plan, as we know it, is something thought about and written out in advance before the real action takes place. It is actually your recipe for success.

All to often we get so busy working in our business that we don’t set aside any time to analyze what has happened in our business over the past year and what we are going to do in the new year to accomplish specific goals. I believe this is a mistake. You don’t need to take the time to write out a formal business plan, but if you don’t have any written plan, chances are you are simply counting on luck to make something good happen.

If you have difficulty with planning there are lots of good free planning resources online. Just try a search and you’ll have a long list of sites to choose from.

Social Bookmarking is so simple it’s confusing! It continues to be one of the most misunderstood topics in social media. It’s a good thing that you’re about to get the scoop on a HUGE nugget that many ordinary marketers miss.

Don’t Miss This!

Social bookmarking literally goes beyond your social media circles to the vast reaches of virtual space. Why do I say all this? Social bookmarking basically puts you on Google’s radar and once Google knows you’re there… Lets put it this way… You want to bookmark!

Think of bookmarking as a way of letting bunch of people know what you like. They can decide to give you a thumbs up or down. The reason search engines love social bookmarks so much is because the community votes carries more weight than any algorithm ever could. With all the changes iGoogle makes every 90 days or so, social bookmarking remain the same because, in social media, social proof is gold. You can use it to improve your blog’s rank and search results for Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Social bookmarking makes this all possible in the push of a button! And we like “push button easy” don’t we?

2 Major advantages that make social bookmarking the smart and easy thing to do

The first smart thing would be that the convenience factor of social bookmarks can’t be matched. Try this one – unlike bookmarks on your browser, social bookmarks are web-based and follow you all over the world, offering you 24 hour access from any computer, any place in the world.

The second smart thing would be the power you have in publicly displaying your interests to your audience. What could be more interesting for herds of like-minded people than reading, watching, or listening to the same things that interest you. In no time, they are thinking more like you and therefore are likely to make similar decisions. This practice will lead to success for your followers, a bigger fan base, and profits if you finish up with a plan to monetize.

As more and more people comment or “Digg” your content, your videos and posts remain fresh in the eyes of Google, Yahoo and MSN. This means that any one piece of content can and will remain recognized by the search engines for years to come.

Lets not forget about the “link juice” that Social bookmarking also creates. Inbound links are often referred to as link juice builders because, every time some Diggs your content, it creates sort of a bridge between you and your Digg friends. In short, inbound links are the life-blood your blog or website.

If you know what you are doing and how to use them, bookmarks can get you and your blog seen by the rest of the world way beyond Facebook – far beyond. If you like what you’ve heard so far, you’ll want to learn how social bookmarking fits into social media and discover the real power behind bookmarking.

Many people have heard about it but are not quite sure what Twitter actually is. But it doesn’t really matter, because the idea of getting your point across in 140 characters seems out of the question – until you get the hang of it. Honestly it can become quite addicting!

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a free social networking site, and is considered micro-blogging (a very little blog) site that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates, or “tweets”. Tweets are actually really brief quotes, statements, questions and even pointless rants. As long as you can say it in within 140 characters or less, pretty much any thing goes.

In other words, Twitter allows you to interact with your followers, friends, and your customers socially and professionally. You “follow” people and they “follow” you. This means that they tell the Twitter program to follow your short conversations and postings. Updates are displayed on your profile page and delivered to other followers who have signed up to receive them. You can, therefore, communicate back and forth in bit-sized social chunks.

New to Twitter and want to learn you way around? Watch video below. For FREE advanced video trainings click here.

The 2 Biggest Reason Why Twitter Is “The New Media Giant” In Social Media

Social media is synonymous with the audience. To be successful in social media you must have an audience. Twitter is, hands down, the fastest of all the social networking sites when it comes to building a huge list of people to whom you have 24/7 access. Twitter enables you to direct your followers wherever you choose by simply adding a link to the tweet. This technique takes only seconds, and can command the attention of thousands in one click.
Keep going – don’t stop now!

Discover how you can tie Twitter into Facebook and tie Youtube all together into one big social media machine able to attract people to your sales page or, preferably, your blog in a matter of weeks (or even days!) – IF you learn “The Social Flow of Things.” What?? You Have Not Seen “The ‘Flowchart to End All Flowcharts?!??’

If Twitter is your “billboard” and Facebook is “one big scrapbook” than Youtube would be your TV channel. Youtube has over 375 million viewers daily which is more than ABC and NBC combined which means when you throw Youtube into your social media mix, you can control and move your audience in the same way large media giants do using their radio, TV, newspapers etc…

In other words, the sooner you can start building an audience, the more quickly you can move them to your money blog and monetize in time for dinner… if you know these 2 sneaky Youtube tips and tricks.

The Top 2 Biggest Reasons You Should Be Using Youtube

#1 Videos ARE Worth A Million Words
Since the explosion of amateur videos, Youtube has been on the forefront. Youtube can be used
as your personal broadcasting studio, TV channel or simply the best place to host and share
your videos.

Youtube’s popularity has grown as more people realize the power of video. Whether
it’s humor, lifestyle, hobbies, education etc… video marketing continues to grow because of its
unmatched ability to intimately connect people because video is the next best thing than being face to face.

#2 Youtube Is A Social Networking Site That Goes Viral Like No Other
What a lot of people don’t realize is that Youtube is just as, or more, social than most of the
other social networking platforms. Once you get beyond the obvious you’ll see that with Youtube
you will want to learn how to subscribe, comment, rate videos, friend or reply to others with a video combining the features of Twitter, Facebook and Social Bookmarking.

It becomes easy to see why Eben Pagan refers to video marketing as the equalizer in social media
and for those willing to learn how, Youtube offers a ton of simple but huge advantages for those who decide to invest 15 to 30 minutes for more effective tips and techniques.

As the demand increases for social media marketers to set themselves apart by creating Personal Brands and carving out their virtual space online, Youtube and video has quickly become the #1 social media site that separates the hobbyist from real people who use social media to make money.

I subscribe to a number of good information sites in an effort to keep up with what is happening on the Internet. Several weeks back one of the sites mentioned to me that I should set up a Fan page on Facebook and start using the Fan page for my marketing activities. They even provided a video of the step by step process for setting up the Fan page since it’s not readily apparent. I took the advice and set up a Fan page even though I didn’t understand exactly why I was doing it.

A lot of advertising fails, or produces mediocre results for a small business due to a lack of a testing process. Testing and tracking are keys to success in marketing. It is easy to get lazy when a business can survive just with the low hanging fruit available in a good market, but when the market shrinks because of funding availability, number of prospects, or profitability margins, then many people do not know how to tweak their marketing and sales systems so they can track the numbers at each step in the sales process.

At a minimum you should determine the lifetime value of every new customer and then calculate your “allowable acquisition cost”, what you can spend to get a new customer. Then test and track your results to determine how many leads you can generate and the number of sales and gross income your marketing process will create.

In many industries, as a result of the current recession, response rates are crashing, refunds are rising, bad debt is soaring, and sales numbers are dropping. Here is the cold, hard truth – If you do not know how to test your marketing efforts — or if you do know but you think it is not necessary– your business is headed for some difficult challenges and could be in serious trouble during these hard economic times.
